In the Cavy Project, members learn all aspects of raising and caring for cavies, whether they are family pets or show-quality animals. Members gain hands-on experience in feeding, housing, breed identification, grooming, health care, and proper handling. They also develop showmanship skills and learn how to prepare and present their cavies for competition. Whether you’re choosing your first guinea pig, learning about different breeds, or preparing for a show, this project offers fun and educational opportunities for all levels of experience. (Ages 5-19)
