In the Poultry Project, members explore all aspects of raising poultry, whether it’s backyard pets, show-quality breeds, market broilers, pigeons, turkeys, or eggs for competition. Members gain hands-on experience in feeding, housing, breed identification, health care, biosecurity, and egg handling. They also develop showmanship skills and learn how to present both birds and eggs for show. Whether you’re hatching chicks, building coops, or preparing for a show, this project offers a wide variety of opportunities for all levels of interest. (Ages 5-19)
