The Beef Project gives members the opportunity to raise and care for market steers and breeding heifers, while gaining real-world experience in livestock management. In this project, members learning how to safely and confidently handle large animals, building trust between member and animal through daily care, training, and showmanship practice. Members also explore topics like nutrition, grooming, record-keeping, and selecting quality animals for fair and future breeding. (Ages 9-19)
